Cupcakes and Flowers? Hold me back!

Cupcake, cupcake, cupcake, one is never enough! Now I can have "my cake and eat it too" without the inevitable nervous scales check later! There are so many heavenly Cupcake gift ideas and inspiring decorative floral creations that seem beyond busy, not so creative types. Here’s something really very simple but oh so clever that combines the two with effortless style and creativity.

My latest cupcake ‘fix’ is a Fleur Daily cupcake vase from cupcakevase.com, a very cute and unique Cupcake vase. I was lucky to see them at the San Francisco gift show, the cutest and most original home-ware and gift idea I have seen in ages. They are definitely on my Christmas gift list, to give and fingers crossed - receive!!! And how brilliant would they be at a Cupcake party? They are so light and easy to decorate with flowers for even the smallest hands. Maybe replace the flowers with other craft ideas for the kiddies, like sparkly butterflies on sticks in the placement holes.

I’m passionate about my garden and take indoor-outdoor flow quite literally by always having freshly picked flowers from my garden, or as season dictates, florist flowers to brighten my home in colder months. Finding just the right vase for smaller or compact flower arrangements for every room is solved with the Fleur Daily cupcake vase. The cupcake icing has clever placement holes which make the cupcakes quick and easy to create a professional looking flower posy. There is no need to discard short stem flowers picked as treasures by your children or grandchildren, as they are easily inserted into the holes. Expensive and messy floral foam or oasis is obsolete with this concept. And the little ones in your life have just created the best Mothers Day gift ever. The decadent chocolate Cupcakes with brilliant red flowers for Valentine’s Day would be beyond perfect.

I love that I can use these flexible, non breakable flower vases outdoors as a cupcake centerpiece. Alfresco dining is made so much prettier with flowers, but losing precious vases to a sudden wind gust, either smashing or embarrassingly landing in someone’s lap is a major deterrent. The low profile, portable and spill resistant vase design decorates outside tables with panache. Cupcake vases arranged around candles are a delightful table centerpiece or try placing them along a table runner. Better yet line the garden path with them to guide your guests into the Cupcake birthday party! No more balloons at the gate to identify the party house, these novel vases can be elegantly hung on a matching ribbon. The gorgeous range of colors to chose from makes them not only sound edible, but perfect for matching wedding day colors, table design and style. Just imagine them hanging gracefully on the end of each wedding chapel pew. They are then easily cleaned and reusable for the next special occasion.

When these Non-Latex and phthalate free EVA vases are decorated with your favorite flowers they make the perfect hospital and nursing home gift. Their convenient portability makes them a very thoughtful gift at a stressful time for un-well friends and family.

I know I’m continually trying to conjure up original ideas for gifts when visiting or thanking others for kind deeds, or their hospitality, chocolates and wine have become passé, but nothing beats fresh flowers and these Fleur Daily Cupcake vases give a special twist to the gift of flowers. www.cupcakevase.com
